Seriously. After this weekend, I think the hubs and I would both welcome some coffee directly into our veins. It was definitely one of those overly crazy, busy weekends. So, I'm warning you now - it's gonna be a loooong post (and I'll try not to include every little detail of our weekend to spare you some ha-ha!) We both took Friday off...no, not to hang out and just enjoy a day off together. But, instead, to get a couple of big house projects done. My dad was at our house at 7am (THANKS DAD!) to help Matt pour some concrete. I spent the morning at the gym then deep cleaning the house and doing a bunch of other stuff around the house. After lunch, Matt and my dad finished pulling up the old deck boards and then headed to Home Depot to get the composite deck boards so Matt could work on that project on Saturday. After a quick shower, we headed out to a couple meet and greets with two potential pediatricians, then off to meet up with some of Matt's grad school friends before getting home around 7 to eat this delicious, healthy, summer meal (zucchini boat pizza!!!) By the time we ate and cleaned up - we were both exhausted and were in bed by 9:15!!!! Saturday I was up and at 'em by 6:15 to get a 6 mile run in before it got too hot. It was perfect running weather and I felt like I could run for forever. I got home and spent a little time with Matt before he headed to CrossFit. Once he left, I did a few random things around the house, then showered up and headed out to go raspberry and cherry picking. I was home by 11:30 and Matt had already started working on the deck. I left him to do his 'manly' project, while I headed out to go shopping. I found out my mom, sister, and nephew were actually in town shopping as well, so I ended up meeting them. After shopping, I stopped to do our grocery shopping and by the time I got home around 5 Matt had finished the deck!! He's such a rockstar...I mean, seriously. He worked his butt off this weekend and I love that he's so dang handy and works so hard for us <3 We cleaned up, threw in a load of laundry, and headed out for a date night at one of our favorite restaurants - Sticky Lips BBQ (our first date was actually there) thanks to a gift card we found :) After enjoying a fabulous meal (and some down time together) we headed home to relax for a couple hours - FINALLY!!! Sunday was another busy day. We met with a potential day care provider then headed down to our hometown for a memorial service/balloon release honoring people that have passed away that belonged to our Church parish (this included my grandfather) and then off to our niece and nephew's joint birthday party (I can't believe they're 5 and almost 3 already!) Once we got home that evening, we did our weekly food prep, tried to figure out our vacation plans, got ready for the week, and was ready to call it a night by 10.
Did you get all that?! :)

You guys so deserve a vacation....calling me was perfect timing...we had just finished our "secret" shopping and I loved the shopping time we had...even if I had expected to be going home after the baby store....wouldn't change a thing with the day😊
