Well it's that time again...it's Monday and that means we recap our weekend here in the blog world! But before I start that, I realized Saturday morning that my 5 on Friday post...was in fact still in my draft folder and never got posted!! Oops! Big fail on my part!! But such is life. So maybe this Friday I'll do a 10 on Friday (that doesn't sound nearly as good together!) Who knows... But in any case, Saturday I got a glorious 7 mile run in first thing. The sun was shining. The temperature was just right. I felt good. It was fantastic. I spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon cleaning the house, doing a load of laundry, and a bunch of other random things while the hubs spent those hours outside working on the yard - mowing, weeding, ripping up bushes, clearing out an area by our garage, etc. This picture here is a small space between our deck and fence that the hubs cleared out and we plan to put cement down. It was such an un-used, ugly space before that we thought if we cleaned it up and put down cement it'd be a great place to store things, put a sandbox for kids, etc., but we wouldn't be losing out on any actual yard (which is great for us since our backyard is super small to begin with!) Even though this is going to cost us a bit more than I think we had originally expected (which is totally how it goes with house projects I am quickly learning!), I am totally looking forward to getting this project done. After that my parents came up and we headed to the Lilac Festival and then out to dinner!! And of course, I can't go to a festival without getting cotton candy...pink preferably!! And then Sunday was a super crazy busy...so busy and absolutely non-stop I didn't get a single picture!! I got a decent workout in first thing in the morning then headed home to finish up our weekend to-do list. We did a ton more yard work - planted some stuff in the garden, mulched the front and back, planted some flowers, re-potted a plant...all that fun stuff!! Then we still had to grocery shop, food prep for the week, get more laundry done, and do some banking/budgeting! Needless to say, I picked up pizza for dinner because there was no way I was cooking :) And that was our weekend in a nutshell! What did ya'll do?!
