So here we are - Camden is two and a half (and yes, I've been crying for WEEKS over this!!) He is the absolute light of our lives and is truly a blessing. He is my greatest pride and joy and the happiness he brings to us is immeasurable.
He is your typical toddler - he knows what he wants and he wants it NOW. He has meltdowns like you wouldn't believe. And he is very selective in what he will eat. He also has impeccable manners, can do a puzzle faster than I can, is obsessed with numbers, counting, matching things, and has the BIGGEST heart (seriously - I've never met a sweeter 2 year old.) He continues to amaze us with how stinkin' smart he is. His language skills are off the charts - always have been. He understands so much - it blows my mind daily. He has been able to recognize all letters of the alphabet, colors, shapes, and numbers 1-10 since he was like 2 and continues to expand on that knowledge (he recently learned the color teal!) He knows his street address and knows how to spell his name. He certainly enjoys his screen time, with his favorite being Daniel Tiger, Super Why!, and Sesame Street. I love that these shows are educational and interactive and I know he's learning so much from them. He also loves to watch videos on You Tube, which I gotta be honest, I don't love but eh - whatever. It's not like they're violent or inappropriate videos. Hmm let's see what else? He is still a good sleeper - not great, but good. He's usually asleep around 7:45 (he's in bed by 7:15 but it takes him FOREVER to fall asleep!!) and wakes up anywhere between 6am and 6:30am. At daycare he naps for 2 hours but at home on the weekends it's usually only an hour and a half, if we're lucky. Occasionally, we'll get a 2 hour nap from him. As I mentioned previously, he isn't a great eater. His favorite foods are scrambled eggs cooked with a spinach/quinoa/olive salad we make, Wegmans unsweetened applesauce pouches, and fruit. He also has quite the sweet tooth like his mama :) He is not potty trained but does use his potty often (more at home - not so much at daycare but hoping that'll change soon.) He wears mostly size 18 month clothing - can wear 24 month or 2t tops. This summer I think all his size 12 month shorts from last year will fit him still since you don't need to worry about length like you do with pants. We struggle with that now with pants - he could totally wear size 12 month pants in the waist but needs 18 month or bigger for the length (even now the 18 months are getting pretty short but I can't move him up the next size or his pants won't stay up ha-ha) He has quite the sense of humor and with him around you can't help but laugh all the time. The things he says cracks me up. Some of my favorites are 'That'd just be CRAZY!' and 'What's going on here?!' (as he puts his hand to his forehead ha-ha) and 'Peace out homie!' He loves, loves, loves to be outside. He loves sensory play - moon sand, water table, etc. He has gotten really into cars lately and he holds onto them for dear life :) He is still OBSESSED with animals - the zoo is one of his favorite places to be. We recently transitioned him to a toddler bed which was so easy, luckily!!! He is the biggest mama's boy I've ever met. He tells me he loves me all the time and that I'm his best friend. He always needs me near him and especially loves to play with my hair and be close to me. One of our favorite things to do is nap together and he always needs to be touching me. I love it!! But as much as I love it, it can also be VERY frustrating. If I'm around Matt can't do anything and that gets frustrating for everyone. But I try to take those times in stride and soak it all up because I know one day...all too soon...he won't need or want me around anymore. Basically, we love him to pieces and are so incredibly proud of the little boy he is growing into. I love each and every day with him and am pretty much obsessed with this little boy.

You summed it up pretty well! If you are ever feeling down, he is who you want to be with. He brightens the day!!
