Dear Camden, Wow! You are 3 months old - where did the time go? You are growing so big and your personality is really starting to shine through now. You are so alert - soaking up all your surroundings with those big ol' eyes of yours. Your smile just melts mine and daddy's heart. You are starting to recognize people you're familiar and comfortable with. You turn your head to sounds, like when we call your name. You absolutely love sitting in your frog chair - you just like to be upright so you can see what's going on. You are starting to bat at and grab toys. And you LOVE your hands - they're constantly in your mouth! :) You are your father's son - very calm, low key, quiet kinda guy...but when it's bedtime and time to eat - watch out! :) Mommy, especially, loves calling you different nicknames, such as bubba, buddy, pumpkin, bud, little man, etc. Hopefully I'm not confusing you too much :) You are such a joy and mommy and daddy LOVE spending time with you and watching you grow. Life has certainly changed since you came along, and we're still adjusting and figuring things out, but we wouldn't have it any other way. "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living My baby you'll be." We love you, Camden Matthew! WEIGHT - Since we don't go to the pediatrician until next month my guess is he's about 9.5-10lbs. He's definitely growing and starting to fill out. I no longer have a newborn but a BABY!!
LENGTH - We measured him today and he's about 23" HAIR - still rockin' a combover. He's starting to lose a little bit of it in the back from rubbing his head back forth. I also think once he loses his baby hair it'll be much lighter. EYES - I think we've got a blue eyed boy on our hands - his eyes are definitely more blue rather than a dark blue/grey. CLOTHES - I think he is officially out of newborn clothes...I'll be putting them all away this weekend (hold on a sec while I wipe my tears...) DIAPERS - size 1 SLEEP - Camden still sleeps like a champ and we are VERY grateful. During the week we get him up at 6:40 or so and on the weekends he'll usually sleep in until 7 or 7:15. He naps from 9-11 then 1-3(his morning nap is usually the full 2 hours...the afternoon nap is usually less.) He will then usually take a short nap anywhere between 4:30 and 5:30, usually 30-45minutes long. We go upstairs around 6:45 each night, change him into pajamas, put some bedtime lotion on him, I'll nurse him, we'll read a couple books, and he's usually fast asleep between 7:30 and 7:45!! Then I do a quick dreamfeed at 10. He usually sleeps through the night every night, except for one night a week, for whatever reason. He puts himself to sleep at nap time and bed time and is pretty good with putting himself back to sleep if he wakes up/stirs at all. DISLIKES - getting his boogies sucked out of his nose (but can you blame him?!), bath time (I wouldn't say dislike, I guess, but I don't think he enjoys it. He tolerates it now...but I'm hoping he'll start to actually enjoy bath time as he gets older), being cold, and waking up. LIKES - sitting in his frog chair, watching & listening to daddy play the guitar, snuggling with mommy, looking at himself in the mirror, cooing & talking to himself in the mirror, looking all around (doesn't want to miss out on anything!), kicking his feet, and sucking on his hands & fingers. EATING - I nurse him in the morning and at night. At daycare he gets a 4oz bottle at 11 and 3, which consists of 2oz of breast milk and 2oz of formula. I usually nurse him at his dreamfeed, as well, but Matt will sometimes give him a bottle. I was nervous giving him formula but he has taken to it very well and we don't seem to be having any issues with it. MILESTONES - little man smiles and coos a lot now. He has recently found his tongue/lips, which is beyond adorable!! He's getting really good at sitting up and supporting his head and neck. We have definitely noticed him following people and items a lot more too. He's growing too fast!! <3 MOMMA'S FAVORITES - this stuff...it's expensive but so worth it!! It smells A-MA-ZING and makes it easy to clean baby's face and bum. I'm also still a huge fan of baby wearing so I'm lovin' the Bjorn! BABY ITEMS WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT - his playmat and mirror, white noise machine, Sleep Sheep, a paci, and his frog chair. And that's where we stand with our 3 month old little man <3
