5 on Friday is a pretty popular link up/thing to do in the blog world. And since I have yet to do one I figured today was a good day to try my hand on it. The best part about 5 on Friday?! The fact that ANYTHING goes...that's my kind of thing. So here goes nothin'... ~ The hubs got asked by two of his supervisors to go to a conference for work and I'm SUPER proud of him!! After this conference he'll be the point person for any questions and information about the related subjects from the conference and I think that's pretty damn cool! He worked his butt off to get a teaching job and hasn't let up since. Even though he's only in his second year of teaching he's really proven himself - he works hard, he's an absolutely fantastic teacher, he isn't afraid to learn new things, takes on additional responsibilities, and always goes above and beyond! Such a proud wifey I am <3 ~ It's supposed to be in the 40's today - holy heat wave!! And I'm lovin' it!! The sun is shining and with these temps I hope that means all the snow will be melted from the sidewalks, making for a fantastic run tomorrow morning!! I always look forward to my Saturday long run outside but I am especially excited for tomorrow's if that means milder temps and clear sidewalks. The last two weekends I've gotten 9 miles in, so tomorrow I'm hoping to get 10 in (gotta be ready for April's 1/2!) ~ We are thisclose to paying off the hubs' undergrad student loan. I mentioned that one of my goals for 2014 (which you can read here) was to have it paid off by June. With that being said I'm pretty dang excited that we should be able to have it paid off no later than the middle of April (and hopefully even sooner - fingers crossed for us!!) Having this paid off will allow us to spend that money elsewhere - like working on paying off my last student loan and increasing our retirement contributions. ~ I've been wanting to do a craft project for a while and this weekend I think I'll finally have the time. I'm going to attempt this marriage license letter (you can find the instructions on how to do it here) So simple and yet so cute!! I hope mine turns out as good as hers!! ~ Tonight for dinner I am trying out this recipe for Pizza Quinoa Casserole that I pinned from Katie over at Keep Calm & Carry On. It looks absolutely DELISH and I can't wait to devour it while snugglin' on the couch with the hubs and watching Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods!! The perfect Friday night in my eyes <3 That's all for me on this Friday - happy weekend ya'll!!
